Combat ’23, an intercollegiate meet was conducted in the premises of SSM College of Arts and Science on 21.03.2023. A total of around 393 participants and 22 faculty members from 13 colleges located in Dindigul, Madurai, Theni and Palani took part in various competitions like photography, short film, math rangoli, just a minute and cook without fire. All the students participated in the competitions enthusiastically and exhibited their skills and talents and bagged prizes. Madurai Gandhi N.M.R. College for Women won the overall championship award. Principal, Dr. N. Sampathkumar gave the valedictory address and Dr. G. Shanmugam, Dean of Science and Humanities, SSMIET, distributed the prizes to the winners. The meet was planned and organized by Professor Dr. Karuppanasamy of Commerce, Mr. R. Sudhanesh of Computer Science, and Dr. K. Sakthivel of Biochemistry.
Memorandum of Understanding was signed between SSM College of Arts and Science and Confederation of Indian Industries (Young India). The secretary of SSMAS, Dr. D. Senthil Kumaran, presided over the meeting and the MoU was signed by Mr. Surya Raguraam of Young India and Dr. N. Sampathkumar, Principal SSMCAS in the presence of Mr. Vinoth Balachandar, Co-chair, Young India. The event was organized by Mr. A. Edison, AP, English and Mr. S. Gowtham, Assistant Physical Director. It was attended by all the faculty members and the students of SSMCAS.
